Shifts will be Days or Nights (no regular rotation; occasional exceptions possible). Assignment Details Contract Length: 13 or 26 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks Requirements - Current CNA license (AK license may be pending) - BLS certification - Minimum of 1 year of LTC experience - Previous travel experience required - References: 2 references covering required period (for CNAs: 6 months within last 3 years); must include LTC experience reference Roles & Responsibilities - Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, feeding, and toileting. - Perform safe transfers and provide pressure injury prevention and skin care. - Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. - Provide support for patients with dementia and other behavioral health challenges. - Follow infection control protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. - Assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. Compliance / Notes - Alaska Food Worker Certification to be obtained on-site during orientation. - Travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's); preference for ability to work any holidays. - RTO (pre-approved time off): no more than 1 week for 13-week contracts and no more than 2 weeks for 26-week contracts. - Must provide documentation of application submission for Alaska CNA license if pending. - Must comply with vaccination requirements for Hep B. - Housing may be provided by the facility; if accepted, traveler will not be eligible for housing stipend.
