Responsibilities & Requirements To perform on a daily basis various respiratory care procedures for acute care for all age groups under indirect supervision of a licensed respiratory care professional. Job Responsibilities Hold self and others accountable for safety by ensuring appropriate procedures and guidelines are followed. Respond to coaching and feedback for improvement; demonstrate continued progress by improving competencies, skill development, and applying learning. Demonstrate appropriate judgment and thinking skills for situations. Attend or review (via HealthStream) a minimum of three Town Hall meetings. Add essential duties as instructed. Administer respiratory therapy treatments by performing ordered therapies, evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment plan by observing, charting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommend adjustments and modifications. Maintain patient confidence and protect hospital operations by keeping information confidential. Document patient care services and charges in patient and department records. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Job Requirements Actively enrolled in an AMA approved Respiratory Care registry program. Have a current limited permit to practice respiratory care issued by Ohio. Demonstrate skills in all patient care areas of the hospital. Demonstrate knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary disease states. Active AARC member preferred. Demonstrate knowledge and competency of modalities as verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board. Current BLS for the respective work area. Work under the supervision of a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver care to the respiratory patient. Reporting Reports To: Manager #J-18808-Ljbffr
