Job Title: HVAC Technician (Residential & Commercial)
Location: Pittston, PA
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in both residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems . The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using appropriate testing equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and ventilation systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Conduct system performance testing and ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detection in accordance with EPA regulations.

• Replace defective components, including motors, compressors, thermostats, controls, belts, and electrical parts.

• Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to customers and management.

• Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, and work orders.

• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.

• Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and professional manner.

• Adhere to all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum 3+ years of HVAC experience in residential and commercial environments.

• EPA Section 608 Certification.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, controls, and mechanical components.

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshooting schematics.

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• HVAC Trade School certification or Associate Degree.

• NATE Certification.

• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and commercial controls.

• Experience servicing rooftop units (RTUs), boilers, chillers, and VRF/VRV systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, ladders, and in varying weather conditions.

• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

• Ability to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
