AutoCAD Technician

We are seeking an AutoCAD Technician to join a growing manufacturing team supporting custom glass and fabrication projects. This role is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and layouts that support production, engineering, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with multiple departments to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.

Pay & Schedule

$40,000 - $55,000 annually Compensation based on experience Day Shift Monday-Friday Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Interpret customer specifications, blueprints, sketches, and project requirements
• Develop production drawings and layouts for manufacturing
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and project teams
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control records
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring drawings are production-ready
• Assist with design improvements and process optimization initiatives
• Ensure all drawings meet customer and quality requirements

Qualifications

• Previous AutoCAD drafting or design experience required
• Associate degree in Drafting, CAD Design, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprint interpretation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial experience
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Familiarity with fabrication, glass manufacturing, or production environments
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T principles
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is a plus

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
