- Carrying out detailed patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic health conditions, working in conjunction with doctors or independently, depending on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and their families about wellness, prevention, and ongoing health management
- Prescribing treatments and medications within your practice's guidelines
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic management services
- Collaborating with a diverse team to ensure comprehensive, quality patient care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
- A valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment combined with a caring approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, their families, and fellow staff
- Flexibility in fast-paced and patient-centered environments
- Proficient in EMR systems and comfortable with virtual healthcare platforms
- A collaborative nature and dedication to evidence-based practice
