Responsibilities The Assistant Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD. This role supports the Property Manager in daily operations, including coordinating maintenance requests, communicating with tenants and owners, and ensuring timely rent collection and lease compliance. The Assistant Property Manager assists with property inspections, vendor scheduling, and follow-up on repairs to maintain a proactive management approach. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, updating property management software, supporting budgeting and billing activities, and helping with lease administration and renewals. The role involves frequent interaction with residents, commercial tenants, and service providers to maintain high occupancy, safety, and customer satisfaction across the portfolio. Qualifications Experience in property management or real estate operations, including tenant relations and lease administration. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple properties, tasks, and deadlines. Proficiency with property management software and basic office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools). Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with tenants, owners, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to work on-site in Baltimore, MD, including occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or inspections. Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance coordination; comfort working with vendors and service providers. Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution. High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail in handling financial and confidential information. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred. Prior experience in commercial or residential property management in the Baltimore area is a plus.
