What you'll actually be doing

You'll lead the maintenance team from the front, not the sidelines. That means:

- Directing and coordinating mechanical and electrical repair work to protect uptime, output, and quality

- Championing plant safety standards and holding the line on every policy that keeps people safe

- Partnering with plant leadership to build out preventative maintenance programs and plan machine overhauls without disrupting production

- Bringing fresh ideas to the table on how to improve maintenance methods, equipment reliability, and product quality

- Owning the full people side of the department: hiring, coaching, performance, discipline, and training

- Working hand in hand with outside vendors and contractors to knock out problems fast

- Partnering on capital projects and process improvements that move the plant forward

- Building and managing the department's annual budget

- Overseeing facility maintenance so the building runs as well as the equipment does

What you bring to the table

- A B.S. in Engineering, mechanical or electrical strongly preferred

- 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

- 5 years of hands on machine maintenance experience

- 3 or more years leading and supervising a maintenance team

- Strong communication skills and comfort with everyday computer systems

- Experience with industrial production equipment is a big plus
