Lead Accountant
Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-Site) Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 depending on experience
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Lead Accountant to oversee the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and accounting operations. This role will serve as a key member of the accounting team, providing mentorship to staff and partnering with leadership to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Support annual audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
