Purchasing Specialist

Job Description Position: Purchasing Specialist Location: Bremen, GA Pay: $75k-85k/yr Job Type: Direct Hire Job Summary: We are hiring a Purchasing Specialist for a client in the Bremen, GA area. This role coordinates the purchase and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies within a manufacturing facility, managing sourcing, negotiation, and supplier accountability across multiple concurrent product programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced in domestic and global sourcing. Responsibilities Estimate cost by reviewing market pricing and supplier cost data Manage negotiation and implementation of technical modifications Manage event ordering (RFQ, negotiation, ordering, expediting delivery) Support domestic and global sourcing across multiple brands Support new product launches and set cost reduction programs Manage purchasing project activity (budget, timing, accountability) across concurrent programs Ensure product launches meet quality, cost, and timing targets Hold suppliers accountable to commitments and elevate issues as needed Identify new cost-effective materials, parts, and products Maintain required supplier documentation (agreements, assessments, quality manuals) Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers Must Haves Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing facility Experience with negotiation, sourcing, bidding, contracting, and supplier performance management Preferred Skills Knowledge of purchasing systems (e.g., SAP) and MRP systems (e.g., JD Edwards Enterprise One) Fluent in Japanese; experience working across multiple cultures Experience in International Trade Practice Knowledge of 6S/5S (Lean) Six Sigma belt SKL'D is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
