The role focuses on providing world‑class customer service, maintaining safety compliance, and contributing to a culture of growth and accountability. Responsibilities Respond to routine and non‑routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, emergency and after‑hours service calls. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems. Install projects as necessary, including hardware and software components. Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Identify and resolve problems for many types of service calls, analyze repair requirements, and provide appropriate solutions. Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner to enable invoicing and job cost tracking. Provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation. Install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects. Execute all service calls in accordance with federal, state, local regulations and company health and safety policies. Communicate with and collaborate with other team members to improve overall operations. Perform preventative maintenance on installed systems that are generally less complex. Work closely with other specialists to cross‑train on servicing existing customers, carrying out customer support programs and small projects. Assist in technical assistance, systems checkout of new and existing installations, and troubleshooting and maintenance of installed security systems. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Developed customer focus and ability to work under pressure. Technical skills related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems. Basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude; familiarity with hand and power tools (drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper). Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). Preferred Experience 1–3 years of relevant experience.
