SHIPPING CLERK

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00PM-11:30PM

Location: Brea, CA

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support outbound shipping operations. This position combines computer and logistics coordination with hands-on warehouse responsibilities. Approximately 30% of the role involves computer work and logistics coordination, while 70% involves verifying, labeling, staging, and preparing shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process outbound shipments using ERP, TMS, shipping, and digital inventory systems.

• Enter and verify customer information, shipping addresses, carriers, service levels, weights, dimensions, freight charges, and tracking information.

• Prepare and review shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier documentation.

• Communicate with third-party logistics providers, carriers, warehouse employees, and customer service teams.

• Review outbound orders and shipping documents for accuracy before products are released.

• Verify staged shipments against sales orders, labels, quantities, part numbers, and customer requirements.

• Confirm that materials are properly packaged, labeled, staged, and ready for shipment.

• Report missing materials, incorrect quantities, damaged products, labeling issues, and documentation discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate shipment, tracking, and freight records.

• Assist with carrier scheduling, pickup coordination, and shipment-status follow-up.

• Move completed orders to the correct outbound staging or carrier pickup areas.

• Assist with labeling, pallet identification, wrapping, and staging.

• Use handheld scanners, computers, printers, and shipping software.

• Maintain organized digital and physical shipping records.

• Communicate pending shipments, carrier concerns, incomplete orders, and system issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.

• Assist with general warehouse and shipping duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous shipping, warehouse, logistics, inventory, order-processing, or shipping-clerk experience preferred.

• Strong computer proficiency and accurate data-entry skills.

• Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, or shipping software preferred.

• Epicor P21 and FreightPOP experience is a plus.

• Experience preparing or reviewing bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and tracking information preferred.

• Ability to accurately count, verify, label, and document outbound materials.

• Basic math, typing, email, and document-management skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse leadership, customer service teams, carriers, and logistics providers.

• Ability to perform both computer-based and physical warehouse responsibilities.

• Forklift and pallet-jack experience preferred.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to consistently work the assigned schedule.

PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and handle warehouse materials.

• Ability to alternate between computer work and physical warehouse duties.

• Ability to lift and move materials according to job and safety requirements.

• Steel-toe or approved safety footwear is required.

• Must follow all PPE, warehouse traffic, forklift, and safety procedures.
