Description

• Assess a broad range of individuals including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized evaluation tools combined with observational insights.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Administer personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress outside clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy services, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the treatment experience.
• Uphold thorough and timely documentation in alignment with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Stay updated with developments in the speech-language therapy field through ongoing education and interactions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
