Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays; 1:3 patient ratio estimated

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with diverse patient population including renal, hepatology, cardiology, pulmonology, and adult cystic fibrosis patients
• EPIC charting system required; 36 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Advanced nursing skills including cardiac drips, heparin and insulin protocols, high flow oxygen therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Two pre-approved time off periods available during assignment
• Float coverage required to units of equivalent or lower acuity levels

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skills required: central and peripheral line care/management, cardiac drip management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, and high flow nasal cannula
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references (minimum one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
