Job Summary:
Post Partum Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, WI. This 13-week contract opportunity is ideal for experienced nurses specializing in postpartum care. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy post partum unit, supporting new mothers and their newborns through labor, delivery, and recovery processes.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Guaranteed 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelors Degree, minimum of 2 years of postpartum experience, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC certifications, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery, ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume setting
• Additional Information:
  • Unit features 11 bed Labor and Delivery (L&D) and 8 bed Post Partum units, with approximately 1350 deliveries annually
  • Average monthly delivery rate of 112 deliveries
  • Highly variable average daily census
  • Trainees may be on call for low census hours; call back minimum of 2 hours, with up to 20 hours of mandatory on-call hours in a 6-week window
  • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times, per policy
  • On orientation week, GSA hours are not guaranteed
