Relocation Expense Covered No Required Degree 4 Year Degree Manage Others Yes This PFS Director is responsible for organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the billing and collection processes for the facilities/clinics assigned. Working in conjunction with hospital/clinic administration, the VP of Revenue Cycle Management, and Vestra administration to reach and maintain financial and accounts receivable goals through the registration, billing, and collections process. Responsible for managing and evaluating employees. Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Assures all elements of the revenue cycle are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This includes but is not limited to charge entry, registration accuracy, billing, collections, cash posting, and insurance follow up. Prepare analysis of third party carriers and self pay receivables to maximize cash flow. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Implement and monitor controls to ensure the billing, collections functions are within appropriate guidelines and policies. Maintains strict confidence of all company, patient accounts, employees and complies with all company policies and HIPAA. Conducts regular staff meetings. Provides in-service training and continued education as necessary for staff. Monitors bad debt and reviews accounts monthly to determine if accounts meet criteria. Monitors charity and reviews accounts monthly to determine if accounts meet criteria. Performs other jobs and/or duties as requested. Physical Requirements Must be able to work with computers for long periods of time and lift small objects under fifty (50) pounds. There may be frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. There will be significant reading (eye use) of computer and paper documentation. Has excellent organizational skills. Can organize and prioritize tasks to accomplish work. Multi-tasks and manages effectively. Acquires new skills and adapts to new systems. Can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science preferred. Minimum five years proven experience in related field preferred. High level of interpersonal skills, problem solving and strong analytic abilities preferred. Knowledge of Federal and State guidelines, managed care contract and credit and collection policies.
