# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 28, 2026 **Location:** Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available); shift huddles at 7am and 7pm mandatory; 1:4 patient ratio for low acuity (ESI 4-5, may take up to 6 patients)**Highlights:** - 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs serving low acuity patients (ESI levels 4 and 5, with occasional ESI 1-3)- Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma hospital designation- Team-focused environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage nurse, ultrasound tech, and support staff- Meditech EMR system with vital signs integration- Strong focus on timely care protocols for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients- Active improvement in patient satisfaction and employee engagement metrics**Requirements:** - Current Texas RN license or compact state license- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required- Level II or Level III trauma experience required- Strong skills in compassion, urgency, and teamwork- Completion of EMTALA training (mandatory)- Greater than two years of emergency department experience preferred- CEN, TCRN, or CPI certification preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing emergency department during an exciting transition to Level II trauma designation.
