As Executive Director, you are the cornerstone of our community—the operational leader, the team champion, and the heart of our culture. You will oversee all daily operations, drive financial and clinical performance, mentor a passionate team of department heads, and cultivate a warm, hospitality-first environment for our residents and their families. Key Responsibilities - Operational & Culture Leadership: Provide overall strategic direction and daily operational oversight across all departments (Nursing, Dining, Environmental Services, Sales/Marketing, and Life Enrichment), fostering a collaborative, mission-driven workplace culture. - Financial & Resource Management: Manage the annual operating budget, oversee financial reporting, optimize census growth, and analyze key operational metrics to maximize financial performance and operational efficiency. - Regulatory & Clinical Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all local, state (Pennsylvania Department of Human Services / Department of Health), and federal long-term care guidelines, driving continuous quality improvement and survey readiness. - Talent Cultivation & Empowerment: Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier department leaders and staff; inspire professional growth and champion employee appreciation and retention initiatives across the building. - Community & Family Engagement: Act as the primary ambassador for Canterbury Place within the greater Pittsburgh medical and civic communities; build genuine, trusting relationships with residents, families, and local healthcare partners. Qualifications & Requirements - Licensure: Active Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license or Personal Care Home Administrator (PCHA) certification preferred (or eligible for PA licensure/certification). - Leadership Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of successful Executive Director or Administrator experience in a Senior Living, Assisted Living, Personal Care, or Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) setting. - Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in census development, financial management, survey execution, and team retention. - Operational Savvy: Strong proficiency in healthcare technology, budget software, and metric-driven operational management. - Leadership Style: Dynamic, approachable, and resilient, with exceptional communication skills and a deep heart for senior care.
