Hospitalist Position at Wetzel County Hospital

West Virginia University Medicine is seeking a Hospitalist at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV. As our community's hospital, Wetzel County Hospital provides excellent services with personal attention that is unmatched. The successful candidate will be expected to practice hospital medicine in the primary location of New Martinsville, West Virginia.

Duties: Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients. Full Time, 12 Hour shifts, One weekday shift; one weeknight shift.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Applicants must have completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and West Virginia Medical License eligible. Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Since 1920, Wetzel County Hospital has served patients from the Northern Panhandle to the Mid-Ohio Valley regions of West Virginia and western Ohio. Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River, New Martinsville is the county seat of Wetzel County. Home to Wetzel County Hospital, this charming small town is home to a number of festivals, parks, and recreational activities, and is conveniently located almost halfway between the cities of Parkersburg and Wheeling.
