Overview Dignity Health - Outpatient Center Patient Service Specialist **Front Desk Receptionist Position** Status: Full-Time (40 Hours) Monday - Friday 8am-6pm Location: 1550 W Craig Rd. #210, Las Vegas NV 89032 Pay Range: $18.50 - $22.00 based on experience Job Benefits include: Competitive salary PTO Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(K) Matching Employee Discount Growth Opportunities on our Career Ladder Schedule: Monday-Friday (Some Saturdays Required) Responsibilities Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience Answers phone Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients Insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival Collection of co-pays Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing Complete daily billing reports and work with central billing office (CBO) Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications HS diploma or GED is required Preferred Experience Customer service experience required Knowledge of insurance verification preferred Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions Additional Data Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
