Care Team Manager

The EHS Manager, like all other team members, is personally involved in creating a workplace free from all injuries, and their dedication to doing so will be absolute and clear through their action... Key Duties and Responsibilities General Operations Performs all duties safely, models and follows all safety guidelines, and proactively participates in EHS team meetings/plans Mitigates risk for the Richmond Plant (1700 Building), the office personnel located at the 2000 Building as well as responsibility for coordinating policies between our manufacturing facilities. Ensures OSHA logs and all other required documents and postings are in compliance. Investigate injuries and near misses, perform root cause analysis, document findings, and make recommendations to management. Facilitates weekly Near Miss meetings and coordinates/reports activity. Takes lead in ensuring all injury reporting is timely and accurate. Takes lead in Care Management process. Ensures that the Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP) is current. Facilitates safety and other company related trainings in Alchemy (with HR assistance) Facilitates and maintains forklift training program; maintains logs and documentation. Creates and facilitates Incident Review calls w/ other plant leadership in the case of a recordable injury or near miss. Develops and coordinates Safety Data Sheet (SDS) program to ensure compliance. Manages personal protective equipment (PPE) including slip-resistant shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, knives/cutting tools, cut resistant gloves etc. Assists with OSHA audits as necessary Coordinates safety evaluations on new and existing equipment and processes and maintains documentation on standard operating procedures. Participates in new product/process reviews, including job hazard analyses, operator training, etc. Reviews process-operating procedures/records and provides input for safety and health considerations. Culture Building Provides guidance/training to new employees and "models the way" with the Integral Safety Model Supports plant management in other actions and programs necessary for maintaining the desired company culture.
