Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for its Winston Salem, NC laboratory location. The role involves preparing, organizing, and shipping clinical specimens in a high-throughput environment while maintaining accurate records and meeting production standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking and routing to designated areas
- Accurately identify, label, and organize specimens with proper documentation
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities according to protocols
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely into systems
- Resolve and document specimen issues; store excess samples properly
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Strong organizational and data entry skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
