ABOUT THE ROLE


This individual is a key member of the finance and accounting team that will support the strategic and operating plans of the company. Working with multiple departments including (but not limited to) operations, projects, and business development. An individual who independently manages themselves and their assigned responsibilities. Individual must be a self-starter who possesses excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently. The individual will provide analysis and management of revenues and costs to maximize profitability through the outlined responsibilities and tasks. The position plays a key role in managing the Finance functions through an attitude of continuous improvement and collaboration with operations. As such is expected to help maintain a professional culture in line with the company's values and ensure that a positive attitude is embedded within the team on site. This position typically works traditional hours, but occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required around month-end close to successfully meet customers' needs.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Manage AR and AP mailboxes, answering any inquiries by vendors/customers
• Assist in collections
• Work closely with AR and AP to assist where needed, including but not limited to, entering invoices, entering bills, and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage all credit card expenses and reconciliations
• Responsible for all expense reimbursements.
• Apply all bank deposits/payments
• Payroll accounting and entries
• Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
• Month-end and year-end closing schedules
• Work closely with Controller to provide support where needed.
• Accounting process maintenance and improvement
• Other duties and/or projects as required by management

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• Advanced interpersonal and team building skills
• Proven bookkeeping skills
• Exceptional level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Analytical and solutions focused
• Organized and especially effective at time management
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
• Computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and SAP

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or BA in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in an Accounting related role
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• SAP/Quickbooks experience preferred
