Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 Year License: Valid State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Charting System Experience (Epic) - Patient Ratio Experience of 2 Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the PACU. The role requires working from 08:00 to 16:30, five days a week. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience. There is no call required for this position. Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support are mandatory. Experience with Epic charting system is required. The patient population primarily involves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The focus will be on total shoulder procedures, arthroscopic procedures for shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, and fracture repairs of hands and arms. The ideal candidate should be proficient in ambulatory and outpatient care, discharge instructions, follow-up communication, and both phase I and phase II recovery processes. Interdisciplinary support is available, including interpretation services and radiology. All candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the compliance process upon acceptance of the role. Two professional references are required, with at least one coming from a managerial or director position. Current employees are ineligible for this travel assignment. Candidates must have education from an accredited nursing program.
