Restaurant Service Lead

A Restaurant Service Lead supports the Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) with the day-to-day operations at Eataly's full-service restaurants. Reports to the Restaurant AGM and serves as a liaison with restaurant support staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a steady leadership presence on the floor daily, monitoring guest, food and team member service
• Ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently met and that activities are carried out effectively
• Inspecting dining room and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Purchasing supplies, beverages and equipment as per the direction of the Restaurant AGM
• Assisting with administrative and operational duties as needed
• Documenting, investigating, escalating and resolving all employee and guest incidents
• Performing other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications include:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in food service
• Understanding of steps of service
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's Degree or associate degree in Restaurant Management or Hospitality preferred
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage preferred

Job requirements include:

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Food Handler's License preferred

Compensation: Pay rate is $18 an hour plus tips.
