About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Valid Respiratory Therapist license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, RRT required. Must-Have: Experience in NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, and pediatric transports. Description: DC license is required. 36 hours guaranteed per week. Must have charting experience with Cerner. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios in critical care settings is necessary. Must have skills in aerosol setup, BiPAP, and high-frequency oscillators. Experience with interpreting arterial blood gases is required. Must be able to perform intubation assists and tracheostomy management. Experience in neonatal transports is necessary. Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms is required. Must have comprehensive knowledge of respiratory therapies and protocols. Flexibility to float between NICU and PICU is expected. Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory.
