Pre-Press Assistant (2nd Shift)

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

Training: First couple weeks on 1st Shift

We're looking for a Pre-Press Assistant to support our printing operations in a highly automated and modern manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, warehouse, machine operation, inventory, forklift, or printing experience who want to build a long-term career with a company that values quality, independence, and teamwork.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing printing materials, managing inventory, staging production equipment, and helping ensure print jobs run efficiently and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, clean, and maintain printing plates, dies, and related components for production.
• Mount, repair, and stage printing plates to support daily production schedules.
• Manage inventory of inks, additives, mounting supplies, and prepress materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and prepare material orders to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Pick and transport materials throughout the facility using a forklift.
• Prepare production documentation, load tags, print cards, and tracking paperwork.
• Assist with color management and ink preparation to maintain quality standards.
• Enter production and inventory information into company systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready work area.
• Work independently while contributing to the success of the overall production team.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates who have experience in any of the following:

• Manufacturing, production, or machine operation
• Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory control
• Forklift operation
• Printing, ink handling, or graphics production
• Computer data entry and inventory systems
• Material staging and production support

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Experience working with automated equipment is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
