Job Description
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This role is based in a Level I Trauma Center and requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize a team nursing model to deliver patient care, effectively managing a workload ratio of 1:12, which translates to approximately 1:6/7 when caseload is split between RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant nursing experience is required.
Experience in a Level I Trauma setting is mandatory.
Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
Experience working in a large hospital environment is essential.
First-time travelers will not be considered unless they possess 5+ years of experience in the specialty.

Schedule Information:

Shift: Full-time, 4x12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00).
Weekend requirements: As needed.
Block scheduling is not available, but weekend block may be considered on a case-by-case basis during the interview.

Additional Information:

Local candidates are not accepted; there is a strict 100-mile radius rule.
All travelers must hold a valid nursing license in compliance with NLC guidelines.
Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application; late RTO submissions will not be considered.
