Cost Accountant

Finance Tax and Accounting Recruitment Consultant A global leader in advanced chemical solutions for the semiconductor industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its team in Pueblo, CO . This role supports cost accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Support month-end close by analyzing variances and preparing journal entries. Conduct inventory and COGS analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain and update standard costs, BOMs, and routings in SAP. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and purchasing to ensure accurate cost data. Estimate costs for new products and assist with inventory management and cycle counts. Reconcile inventory to the general ledger and manage reserves for obsolete inventory. Track capital spending, manage asset records, and conduct asset audits. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, including labor and overhead rate development. Document procedures and support special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 1-3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing. Proficiency in SAP and Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
