Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional (1:1 Aide) to support a student in the El Monte, California area. This full-time, school-based role involves working closely with a middle school student to provide both academic and physical support throughout the day. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about student care, special education, and hands-on support services.
Position Overview:- Full-time, school-based position
- On-site role within a middle school setting
- 1:1 support for an 8th-grade student
- Student requires mobility assistance due to injury (wheelchair support)
- Immediate need; candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 support to a student throughout the school day
- Assist with mobility and navigation around campus (wheelchair support)
- Support toileting and personal care needs
- Assist with classroom participation and daily activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and support teams
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students or in a school setting preferred
- Comfortable providing physical assistance and personal care support
- Strong communication and reliability in a 1:1 setting
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff
- Must meet onboarding requirements prior to start
Compensation & Benefits:
