TIG Welder – Stainless Steel Department Position is for a talented, energetic, and motivated TIG Welder who is detail‑oriented and safety‑conscious. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding high‑quality stainless‑steel components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards, inspecting finished welds to ensure precision and durability, maintaining welding equipment, and strictly adhering to all safety protocols. Reports to Erika Duffy‑Carr and works onsite in Orlando, FL (company location: Oviedo, FL). Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel 14/12‑gauge sheet metal and piping ranging from 2 3/8″ to 3/8″, utilizing gas purge protection. Setup components and welding equipment controls. Work from drawings and/or work instructions to set up parts and major components, preparing them for welding. Locate and measure surfaces, providing detailed inspection information as specified on work instructions. Contour weld parts and components to match tolerance configuration requirements using suitable tools. Perform equipment preventive maintenance as assigned. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and contribute to a positive team spirit. Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures. Experience with TIG welding of stainless steel sheet metal ranging from 18‑gauge to 12‑gauge. Experience in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment and ability to work off blueprints/work instructions. Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Correctable vision of a minimum of 20/30. Capable of standing for extended periods of time. Successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including a drug test and required pre‑employment testing. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school. Three or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time; lift and carry up to 50lbs; push and pull up to 25lbs; move around the manufacturing floor; read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers; wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
