School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newville, Alabama

This full-time contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) ready to work with an enthusiastic group of approximately 50 students. The assignment runs from July 31, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting impact throughout the academic year.


Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) through ASHA
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in a school setting
• Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with varied speech and language needs
• Organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and developing individualized treatment plans

• Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, or communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs
• Deliver direct therapy sessions-both individual and group-aligned with best practices and IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students' academic and social success in the classroom
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and strategies for support
