School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Abbeville, Alabama

Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC) to a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity begins July 31, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027. You'll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students, fostering communication growth and academic success in an engaging educational environment.


Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Current state SLP licensure or eligibility prior to start date
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and progress tracking
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Collaborative attitude for working with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
• Conduct evaluations, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to support student achievement
• Communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to educational planning
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and legal requirements
