Job Description: Operate dump trucks and ready-mix concrete trucks safely to transport materials to and from job sites, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and maintaining the quality of materials delivered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks and ready-mix concrete trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
• Load, secure, haul, and unload aggregates and ready-mix concrete in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Inspect materials to ensure proper quality at the point of delivery and confirm customer satisfaction.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and equipment to ensure operational safety.
• Clean and maintain trucks, including washouts after deliveries, and conduct minor preventative maintenance tasks.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and DOT regulations while working on job sites.

Essential Skills

• Valid Class A CDL; must maintain an active license and pass DOT physical requirements.
• Commercial Truck Driving Experience.
• Experience operating dump trucks, mixer trucks, or similar heavy equipment in construction or material delivery environments.
• Ability to complete pre- and post-trip inspections, follow OSHA and DOT regulations, and maintain safe driving practices.
• Perform routine truck maintenance including washouts, fluid checks, tire checks, and minor repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with acceptable driving history.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and physical exam.

Work Environment

• Work in an outdoor construction and job site environment with exposure to weather, dust, and heavy equipment.
• Perform tasks on active commercial, residential, and roadway construction sites.
• Engage in a physically active role requiring repetitive motion, climbing in/out of trucks, and lifting equipment.
• Experience a fast-paced environment driven by concrete production timelines and weather conditions.
• Schedule typically MondayFriday with potential Saturdays based on project demands.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $68500.00/yr. Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) PTO and advancement opportunities within a growing organization
