ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES  

The Receiving Generalist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and assisting with department needs as required. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Pull and fill sample orders.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, restock samples, and process returns.
• Assist associates with workload as needed.
• Update the AS400 system with information obtained through inventory cycle counts.
• Assist the Planning Department as needed.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and an organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as required to maintain necessary production levels and support department goals.

EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of one year of experience working with carpet.
• Computer literacy, including experience with AS400, Lotus 1-2-3, CMS, and Lotus Notes.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English regarding numerical and alphabetical lot numbers and other product and production information.
• Forklift driving experience required.
• Ability to make effective decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
• Must have forklift certification or successfully pass the certification test prior to accepting the position.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Frequent: Climbing, depth perception, handling, hearing, manual dexterity, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, speaking, and walking. Must use required personal protective equipment.

Occasional: Balancing, crawling, crouching, grasping, kneeling, and lifting up to 45 lbs.

Required: Close vision and the ability to distinguish color and texture.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

General warehouse environment. May be exposed to background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations, and moving mechanical parts.
