Annual Pay Range: $50k-$65k Job Description The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule service appointments and greet customers in a timely, friendly manner. Obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible. Provide accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts, establish promised completion times, and obtain proper authorization before performing any additional repairs. Monitor repair progress throughout the day and contact customers regarding any changes to estimates or timelines, explaining cost and time requirements in detail. Test‑drive vehicles or refer to the test technician as necessary to ensure quality service delivery. Advise customers on vehicle maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications to maximize vehicle longevity. Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index ratings comparable to manufacturer, zone, or branch averages. Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA requirements. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor. Preferred: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Two years of experience in a dealership position. General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations. ASE certification preferred. Sales experience (in a retail or dealership environment). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Required: All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre‑employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
