Available Shifts
- 6:30 AM 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- 11:00 AM 7:00 PM
- 12:00 PM 8:00 PM
Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 513-bed skilled nursing facility in Syracuse, New York, dedicated to providing quality care and services to our residents. We strive to create a warm, homelike environment while meeting the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting meal service and ensuring our residents receive meals in a timely, safe, and pleasant manner. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, being part of a team, and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and serving meals to residents
- Set up and work on the meal tray line
- Deliver food carts and meal trays throughout the facility
- Operate the dishwasher and assist in the dish room
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Assist with trash removal and recycling
- Sweep and mop kitchen and dining areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work as part of a team to provide excellent service to our residents

- Ability to work well with coworkers, residents, and visitors
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
