Work Environment\n

This role primarily operates remotely, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still maintaining engagement with our community health clinic's operations. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts or rotating weekend coverage to meet the needs of our students and families.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for students experiencing a range of special needs.
\n
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address mental health concerns, emotional well-being, and integration into the school community.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for ASD, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, ADHD, and trauma, tailored to meet students' specific needs.
\n
• Leading individual and group therapy sessions to foster personal development, emotional regulation, and coping skills.
\n
• Collaborating closely with educators and other specialists, such as speech and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care for our students.
\n
• Offering crisis intervention support as needed during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Providing psychoeducation to students and families, empowering them with information about mental health conditions and available resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

Your primary focus will be on a diverse population of students with special needs at various stages of their educational journeys. Understanding their unique experiences and challenges will be crucial in delivering effective mental health support and promoting their successful integration into the learning environment.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• A current and valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Solid understanding of mental health disorders and the principles of trauma-informed care.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Ability to deliver both individual and group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic approaches.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome all qualified applicants, those with at least two years of post-licensure experience, especially related to special education settings, will be preferred. Experience in delivering crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations will also be advantageous.
