Quality Inspector - 1st ShiftJoin a growing precision manufacturing company where employees don't just work here, they have the opportunity to share in the company's success through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), profit sharing, and pension benefits.We're seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections on precision sheet metal and machined components supporting industries including aerospace, medical device, defense, electronics, and laboratory instrumentation.Pay: $28.00 - $32.00/hourShift: 1st ShiftWhy Join Our Team?Employee Ownership (ESOP) - Earn ownership in the company over timeProfit Sharing Program - Share directly in company successPension Benefits - Build long-term financial securityCompetitive PayStable, Growing Manufacturing CompanyCareer Growth OpportunitiesModern, Clean Manufacturing FacilityCollaborative Team EnvironmentExposure to Aerospace, Medical Device, Defense, and Electronics ManufacturingISO 9001 Certified EnvironmentJob ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections on machined and sheet metal components.Verify parts meet customer specifications, quality standards, and drawing requirements.Partner closely with machinists and production personnel to support manufacturing operations.Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, tolerances, and inspection requirements.Complete inspection layouts and dimensional verification activities.Utilize precision measuring equipment including:MicrometersCalipersHeight GagesProtractorsAdditional inspection tools as requiredConduct visual inspections for defects, workmanship concerns, and nonconforming conditions.Perform inspection activities using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) when required.Review and support aerospace 9102 documentation requirements.Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records using computer systems and Excel.Work closely with the Inspection Department to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.Follow established quality assurance and quality control procedures within an ISO 9001-certified environment.Required QualificationsExperience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.Strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques.Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and height gages.Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain records.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).Familiarity with aerospace AS9102 documentation and First Article Inspection requirements.Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems.Background in sheet metal fabrication, machining, or close-tolerance manufacturing.Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, engineers, and quality team members.Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, modern 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication and close-tolerance machining.
