We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician II Filmcast (2nd Shift) to join our amazing team in beautiful Chattanooga, TN. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will: Manufacture medical device tubing per specifications, including startup and shutdown of filmcast, wire drawing, and braiding equipment Clean work area, equipment, and tooling thoroughly Read, follow, and accurately complete all provided documentation (product drawings, work procedures, process logs, etc.) Have some computer proficiency with a willingness to learn computer systems required to perform job responsibilities Inspect product per specifications using specified measuring equipment Have ability to leverage previous methods, processes, equipment, and tooling to address new process and equipment challenges Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP): line clearance, work instructions, documentation, etc. Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing Work with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time, cost, and yield targets Work with engineers to generate clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standards Work with and train other skilled technicians/operators in the manufacturing techniques, inspection methods, and required documentation Communicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvement Be willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have ability to modify work shift as needed by business conditions Perform other duties as appropriate. Education, Experience and Requirements Two-years related manufacturing experience Prior Filmcast and braiding experience is preferred Able to troubleshoot moderately complex process, equipment, and tooling issues Extremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitude Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred, but not required Good written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, team player Perform work tasks at elevated height Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 500 lbs. assisted Ability to work 2nd Shift Confluent Medical Technologies is dedicated to working collaboratively with our customers, taking their projects from rapid prototype into high volume production.
