Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments; establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care; modify plans based on patient outcomes and clinical evaluations.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures and implement timely, documented nursing interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Coordinate team assignments and delegate unit work appropriately to ensure completion of required patient care support activities; follow up on delegated tasks for quality and completeness.
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Promote a positive, professional work environment; collaborate with the team to achieve unit and organizational goals and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license valid for the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served.
• Ability to float to all Medical/Surgical departments as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, adapted to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in work environment, schedule, and patient census demands.
