Barton Mines Company is actively hiring a Inside Sales Representative to join our Glens Falls , NY headquarters .

We offer competitive pay ranging from $25.00–$35.00 per hour. This position will work a hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days home office.

Position Summary: 

The Inside Sales Representative will identify and execute on sales opportunities with prospective customers to market and sell garnet abrasive products and waterjet machine parts.  Offer excellent customer service while providing technical expertise to customers focused on offering solutions to customer’s needs.  Effectively communicate the value of doing business with Barton to customers and prospective customers. Acts as liaison between customers and Regional SalesManagers to ensure excellent business relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Makes initial contact to potential customers via telephone to establish rapport, introduce The Barton Group and products offered, and gather new customer information.  Sends follow up email with contact information and schedules literature packets to be sent out.
• Sets up and maintains existing customer and prospect information by entering all pertinent data into the computerized database; manages pricing, calendar and contact records
• Prepares and submits price quotes/bids for customers and enters all required information into computer system.
• Provides ongoing RSM, customer and technical support on existing accounts.  Analyzes and resolves technical problems or refers to Sales Manager.
• Works closely with Sales and Customer Service departments to keep them informed of customer issues and ensure complete satisfaction and resolution of discrepancies.
• Inputs orders for garnet samples and parts into computer system.  

The ideal candidate should have:

• Associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field. 
• Three to five years of sales and/or customer service-related experience. 
• Available for periodic overnight travel. 
• Must have technical/mechanical aptitude.  
• Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications. 
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. 
• Ability to identify and/or follow up sales leads and referrals. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
