_ ** Senior:$49.30/hr _

_ ** Lead:$59.86/hr **_

_ ** Work Arrangement : Hybrid **_
_ ** Employment Type: Contract-to-Perm **_
_ ** Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week **_

** Key Responsibilities **

• Evaluate group medical stop loss submissions and renewal opportunities.
• Analyze group demographics, participation, claims history, and large claimant activity.
• Review plan design, funding arrangements, contract terms, and other risk factors.
• Assess risk and profitability and recommend appropriate pricing and coverage terms.
• Ensure underwriting decisions align with established guidelines.
• Partner with brokers, clients, field representatives, claims teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze information needed to make sound underwriting decisions.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and recommendations clearly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality underwriting practices.
• Provide guidance and training to junior underwriters at higher levels.

** Qualifications **

• Experience in Group Health Insurance, Stop Loss, Employee Benefits, Supplemental Health, or Insurance Underwriting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to analyze claims and financial/risk information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

** Experience Levels **

• ** Associate: ** 0–2 years of underwriting experience.
• ** Senior: ** 3–4 years of group underwriting or voluntary benefits experience.
• ** Lead: ** 5–8 years of underwriting experience; supplemental health experience preferred.
