The California Department of Social Services, Legal Division, is recruiting to fill one permanent, full-time Legal Analyst position in the Enforcement Branch. The position will be filled in Sacramento, Oakland, or Riverside. Responsibilities: The Legal Analyst provides paralegal and technical support to the attorneys in the Enforcement Branch of the Legal Division. Duties include: analyzing legal issues, facts and evidence; assisting attorneys with requests for documents by members of the public; supporting Enforcement’s use of workflow and software programs; supporting data tracking and maintaining databases; developing Enforcement training programs. The Legal Analyst must be able to analyze legal issues accurately and present those issues in writing in an effective manner. Must be able to work cooperatively with attorneys, other paralegals, support staff, licensing staff, and the public. Telework may be available based on operational needs and remote-capable duties per the CDSS Telework Program Guidelines. The incumbent will need to report to the nearest legal office (Sacramento, Oakland, Riverside) when in the office.
