Responsibilities Protect critical information, systems, and assets; build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing an overall IT strategy. Empower breakthrough innovations, take ownership of challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and drive responsibilities. Participate in all aspects of web, database, and application server lifecycles: installing new hardware and operating systems, supporting existing servers and platforms, effecting bug and security patching, performance monitoring and tuning, break/fix troubleshooting, and retiring or upgrading older hardware and platforms. Diagnose and resolve problems quickly, and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and users to ensure a smooth, efficient technology infrastructure. Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in Linux administration with excellent troubleshooting skills; RedHat Engineer certification (RHCE) a plus. Experience in Windows administration, including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, with strong troubleshooting skills. Experience in VMware administration: installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, and backup/recovery of VMs. Experience in SAN/NAS storage administration, including SAN zoning and SAN migration. Experience in backup administration (Data Domain, NetBackup). Proficiency with shell, PowerShell, and Python scripting. Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Azure, VMware, Oracle Cloud, Cisco UCS, and Oracle Exadata. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Compensation & Benefits BNY offers a competitive compensation package, inclusive of a base salary that may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
