Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Construction to oversee utility construction projects from planning through completion. This individual will be responsible for managing projects, budgets, schedules, field teams, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead multiple utility construction projects simultaneously
- Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and resources
- Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and project teams
- Coordinate with clients, operations leadership, and internal stakeholders
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders
- Support hiring, employee development, and team management
- Monitor project performance, productivity, and quality
- Assist with estimating, bidding, and project planning activities
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and meet customer expectations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant construction or utility industry experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience managing construction projects, budgets, and schedules
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Strong understanding of construction practices, methods, and materials
- Experience overseeing field crews and subcontractors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Experience with estimating, bidding, and change order management
