Staff RN -Comprehensive Medical Unit 1(Nights)

Job Description Summary Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is responsible for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegating nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs), and providing professional nursing care services to patients. Responsibilities and Duties Assessment/Diagnosis – performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – evaluates and documents response to interventions, revises plan of care as needed (20%). Leadership – participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%). Operations – focuses on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties (10%). Minimum Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or in good standing with a multi‑state compact state. BLS certification. BSN required at 5 years of employment.
