Art Director

Title: Art Director, Partnerships & Collectibles Employment Type: Freelance Timing : 9/7/26 Duration : Through 12/31/26 Hrs/wk : 40 Location : Broomfield, CO (hybrid onsite) Pay Range : $70-80/hr. We are seeking an experienced Art Director to help shape the creative expression of culturally relevant collaborations, limited drops, collectible storytelling, and partner-led initiatives across campaign, product, packaging, retail, digital, social, and experiential channels. Reporting to the Creative Director, Partnerships & Collectibles, this role will translate partnership strategy into highly visual, emotionally resonant creative systems that balance a distinctive brand identity with the unique voice of each collaborator. The ideal candidate brings strong conceptual thinking, exceptional craft, and the ability to lead overlapping projects in a fast-paced consumer lifestyle environment. What You’ll Do Concept and design partnership-led storytelling for collaborations, collectibles, and limited product drops. Develop visual ideas that bring multiple brand identities together in a cohesive, authentic way. Create integrated design across campaigns, digital, social, retail, packaging, e-commerce, experiential, and presentation materials. Build flexible, scalable visual systems that support product moments, launch campaigns, packaging, and supporting assets. Lead art direction for photo and video production, from pre-production through post-production. Apply motion design thinking to elevate digital, social, launch, and campaign storytelling. Manage and mentor designers, providing clear creative direction, feedback, and development support. Partner with creative, marketing, product, merchandising, operations, external collaborators, and other cross-functional teams. Own projects from concept through final production while managing shifting priorities and competing deadlines. Explore emerging creative tools, AI, motion, design technologies, and evolving creative processes. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. 8+ years of experience in brand, campaign, digital, experiential, packaging, or integrated design. 3+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and providing creative feedback to junior designers and production partners. A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and high-quality execution across multiple channels. Expertise in art direction, typography, layout, composition, color, image-making, and visual systems. Experience with motion design, animation, and art direction for photo and video production. Experience in brand collaborations, cultural moments, product launches, collectibles, entertainment, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, or consumer brands strongly preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative rationale to diverse stakeholders.
