Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty/mail order pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist for a contract assignment of 13+ weeks. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends off. The position requires a pharmacist who excels in multitasking, effective communication, and maintaining high accuracy standards to ensure safe medication dispensing and superior patient service.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately filling prescriptions according to practitioner instructions
• Conducting clinical drug screenings to prevent adverse drug interactions
• Counseling patients on medication use and potential side effects
• Supervising pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff
• Maintaining accuracy in billing and inventory control documentation
• Assisting with new business facilitation and timely service delivery
• Participating in pharmacy budget preparation and managing operational budgets
• Communicating professionally with patients and clinic staff

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active California Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• Preferably 1+ year of retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience; specialty or mail order pharmacy experience is a strong plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and clinical teams
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset to support safe and efficient medication management
