APEX Placement & Consulting has partnered with a premier healthcare organization in Traverse City, MI seeking a Culinary Services Supervisor to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching a team, preparing quality meals, and creating an exceptional dining experience for residents, patients, and guests.

Schedule

Full-Time Position

Must have open availability to work 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.

A consistent schedule will be provided in advance.

What you'll be doing

Lead and support daily culinary operations while serving as a working supervisor

Prepare and serve quality meals while assisting with food production and presentation

Coordinate team activities, communicate expectations, and promote a positive work environment

Operate ordering and cash handling systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures

Deliver exceptional customer service through positive interactions and effective communication

Create attractive food displays and maintain high standards of quality and presentation

Ensure kitchen, cafeteria, workstations, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards

Promote and enforce safety procedures while maintaining compliance with all policies and regulations

What we're looking for

• 1+ year of retail experience (required)
• 1+ year of cooking experience (required)
• 1+ year of kitchen management or supervisory experience (required)
• ServSafe Certification (required)
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Experience with cash handling, ordering systems, or point-of-sale systems preferred
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable leading by example in a fast-paced environment
