IT ManagerCanary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering and services firm specializing in technology solutions for monitoring risk related to geotechnical and geomechanical structures, e.g bridges, dams, tunnels, roadways, embankments and surface and underground mines.We are looking to immediately fill a full-time position for IT Manager. They will be responsible for managing our staff laptop/computer inventory, completing our IT onboarding and offboarding workflows, supporting and maintaining our in-house, cloud hosted and client implementations of computing and data collection platforms. These include in-house physical servers, colocated physical servers and cloud infrastructure. Some travel will be required. Applicants with senior-level education and experience are preferred, but we will train the right candidate.Proximity to our office in New London, NH, for a minimum of one day per week in the office is required.Salary commensurate with education and experience.Responsibilities Include:Managing staff laptop inventory (around 60 laptops in total), including procurement and rebuildsProvide IT onboarding/offboarding for staff, including training as requiredDeploy and manage our collocated server hosting environmentsImplement security systems and standards for use with our deploymentsDeploy and maintain 24x7 platform monitoring tools such as Zoho Site24x7Prepare and maintain documentation around our infrastructure and standardsInstall and manage our software and databases in these environmentsDevelop workflows for deploying and managing all infrastructure assetsProvide presentations to internal and external clientsProvide platform support, including training, to internal and external clientsExpertise Required:General computer and networking hardware expertiseMicrosoft Workstation (10, 11) and Server OS's (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and.NETSQL database systems including Firebird, PostgreSQLProgramming and scripting including SQL, Python, Javascript, VBScript, PowershellCloud productivity platforms including Office365, JIRA, ZendeskCybersecurity standards and testing such as including SOC1, SOC2, ISO27001Firewalls, VPN's, MFA and other access control systemsPerson Best Suited to Position:Excellent communicatorHighly organizedDetail orientedSelf motivated
